SAFETY

1. Wear a lab coat at all times.

2. If you have long hair, be sure to tie it up before the procedure.

3.  Wear latex gloves when handling toxic chemicals. Usually, the toxicity level will be indicated on the container label. After the procedure, be sure to dispose the gloves in the correct bin.

4. Work under a hood if you will be using any high level toxic substances.

5. If you spill any substances, do not try to clean it up! Notify a supervising adult.

6. Handle glass with care. If glass breaks, step away from the area and notify an adult.

7. Dispose hazardous materials such as needles and other sharp objects in the correct container.
