I am a college student who has research experience from the Cornell Dept. of Neurology. My project involves studying the long term effects of methylphenidate on the brain. I am particularly interested in viewing white matter changes with the administration of methylphenidate. The first stage of my project involved the collection and analysis of images from an untreated animal ADHD model by the use of transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The second stage will be to analyze images of tissue from animals that have been administered methylphenidate.
